How Long Do You Have to Submit Your Medical Claims for Payment

What happens if you let your claims pile on over time, and don’t submit them to be paid by the insurance company in a timely manner. This is what happened to one of Adria’s clients. See how you can avoid this situation by watching this video now.

So a case was referred to me recently and I have to say I was never able to help them because they never filed their claims on time.

So even if you go through some very difficult times in your life, and you’re unable to submit the claims on time, again, it’s very difficult to overturn them.

But please be aware. Of all your medical bills you receive in the mail and take care of them, you know, a lot of people they got the piles and piles and piles and they don’t read their mail, and then they’re stuck in this position. If you need help, they’re Advocates that can help you under these circumstances.

I know that sometimes with specific conditions. It’s impossible, absolutely impossible to respond within the time limits, and occasionally. I’m able to overturn the case by proving the reason why the claims were submitted late.

So just try to remember that you do have a time limit on when your insurance companies require you to submit the bills. Sometimes it’s three months.  Sometimes it’s six months nine months 12 months.

Medicare used to be 24 months, but right now they’re a year. So just Please be aware of it and try and take care of your bills when they come.
