What You Can do if Medicaid Doesn’t Pay the Medical Bill

Medicaid bills are rare, but when it does happen, Adria explains what you can do if you ever get a medical bill that was supposed to be covered.

I recently had a gentleman in New York City who was a freelancer. He was on Medicaid since he was not making enough money to afford his health insurance. In all my cases Medicaid bills rarely occur. I hardly ever see them. But in this case the gentleman still had a bill for thirteen thousand dollars and after months of pleading for financial assistance. We were able to finally get his bills erased.

So, please try and keep this in mind. I always tell people don’t give up. If you can prove it that there is no way possible that you can pay the bills. Very often you can either get a discount or haven’t written off. So, please remember me Adria Gross, Medwise Insurance Advocacy.
