I recently had a client who wound up in emergency room in a hospital, which was out of network since the ambulance took them right to the out-of-Network Emergency Room. I must say it took quite a period of time for me to overturn the case, but I was finally able to have the insurance company pay out all over $175,000. If your provider’s outta network and it was an emergency, you should be covered. I hate to tell you this, but it is not true if you have a bill involving a land ambulance. They, there was and still is a serious issue with the January 20th, 2020 2022 Surprise Act and in that act it said that if it’s an emergency, everything’s covered except for one thing and that’s the land Ambulance.
